All Student Government recognized clubs and organizations must:

Remain active by submitting a current list of officers, and minutes from all meetings, submitting a budget each spring, and providing the programming outlined in its constitution to the Office Manager,

Be responsible for attending any mandated Student Government club and organization meeting or workshop,

Regularly review and update their clubs’ constitution; at a minimum of every 4 years and with any other updates as the club deems fit,

Clubs must re-submit their constitutions for approval by the Constitution Committee, and the Senate.

Maintain a membership of at least five (5) members, with at least two (2) members holding club e-board positions, and

Meet at least two (2) times per semester.

The Beacon is the weekly newspaper of MCLA. The staff is made up of MCLA students with faculty advisors. They work weekly to have each edition printed by Thursday morning. TVGC is a club focused around, as the name might suggest, tabletop and video games! We aim to provide a space where students can take a break from the stress of classes and hang out with others for some fun. Past events have included Super Smash Bros tournaments, Jackbox nights, and murder mystery events! We also try to have meetings throughout the week dedicated to Dungeons & Dragons, Magic: The Gathering, and even Monster of the Week based on member interest.

We are currently meeting Mondays in Bowman 324 from 8-11pm for open game nights, Wednesday and Friday nights for D&D, and Thursday nights for Magic: The Gathering!
